Purpose Statement
The purpose of the Men's Ministry at
Open Door Bible Church is to reach men for Christ, train them to
be spiritual leaders, and involve them in effective ministry.
Men's Ministry Event Descriptions

Men's Bible Studies
are held on a weekly basis for fellowship and encouragement.

The Men's Service
Ministry helps people in the church family who need
special help with moving, yard work, home repair etc.

Men's Retreats
are planned each year. Digging Deeper retreats have a Bible
study focus. Spring Retreats focus on fellowship and have included
a workday at Camp AWANA.

Men's Breakfasts
are planned on one Saturday every other month from October through
April.

Sports Nights
are an opportunity to play basketball during the winter months
in order to meet and get to know each other – and burn
some calories.

Living in the Light meets
twice monthly to give men the opportunity to share their burdens
with, and victories over various kinds of spiritual struggles.
The focus of this group is to, through prayer and Bible study,
help men rely on God’s strength to daily win the battle
over these struggles. Meets every other Wednesday.

Other Special Events:
Various men's events are promoted and coordinated by the men's
ministries, such as the fall Pig Roast, golf outings and attending
the Men's Conference at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.
